A very good video about agricultural emissions in New Zealand. It covers how agricultural emissions arise, the opportunity for technology to reduce emissions, and how a reduction in emissions might occur.
The video interviews researchers, farmers and economists and the ideas presented seem to be very well founded and reasonable.
One of the take home messages from the video that I found was that all of the people interviewed believe that if a reduction in emissions is to occur then the change needs to happen organically at a local level and then there needs to be policy implemented to support those changes. It’s a very similar ideology to what MakeitRain is based on in that MakeitRain aims to build an online community where ideas are able to be shared and a reduction in greenhouse emissions will come from there.
It’s an 18 minute video, so make yourself a cuppa and enjoy the viewing.
