This is the first video in a kind of 2 part series by Jeff Speck about walkable cities.
Town planning is a notoriously boring subject. I was once given an assignment to do on town planning because my lecturer wanted everyone to know that they didn’t want to be a town planner. In spite of all that, I thought I’d make the first MakeitRain post a town planning video.
I actually do find town planning fascinating. When I found this video, I was glued to the screen. It’s relevant to MakeitRain because well designed cities produce less greenhouse gases than poorly designed ones. There’s a lot of other surprising links made to well designed cities as well.
Jeff Speck does a good job of making a convincing point about walkable cities. I hope you like it!
